Bryan Iceman

Bryan started his career in the fire service as a volunteer firefighter in 1995. He became an EMT soon after in 1996 and went on to being a paramedic in 1998. After working for years in private EMS, he was hired as a career firefighter by the City of Girard in 2002 where he has been a member of Local 1220 and has served as Vice President for the past four years.

Bryan raises two boys, Jackson (18) a senior at Mathews HS and plans to attend Owens Community College in the fall. Justin (15) is a sophomore at Mathews HS. Abigail (11) his daughter splits time between Bryan's and her mother's home; she is in sixth grade at Southington local schools.

Throughout Bryan's 21 year career as a paramedic, he has had numerous challenging and tragic calls. He understands first hand how the mental aspects of the job can have a toll on yourself, family and co-workers. As a PEER support member, Bryan wants to use his experiences to put firefighter mental health on the forefront and help our brothers and sisters through challenging times of their own.
